Weekly Bulletins

Dear All,
On Wednesday 18th April there will be our short afternoon service at 4.00 pm. There will also  be ‘drop in’ for parents and carers meeting children at Ysgol yr Esgob 2.15-3.15pm.
 
On Sunday, 22nd April, Ven John Lomas will celebrate Holy Communion and will preach at the 11.00 a.m. service. The readers will be Margaret Martin and Jean, and the sidespersons will be Anne and Susan.
On Wednesday 25th April there will be our short afternoon service at 4.00 pm. There will also  be ‘drop in’ for parents and carers meeting chidren at Ysgol yr Esgob 2.15-3.15pm.
At 7.00 pm on Wednesday the House Group will meet .
On Sunday, 29th April Rev’d Vera Lewis will celebrate Holy Communion and will preach at the 11.00 a.m. service. This will be a joint service with St Stephen’s Church, Bodfari, to be held at Caerwys. The readers will be from Bodfari, and the sidespersons will be Mick and Sonia.

Dan Morgan has sent details of the Alpha Course that Furnace will be providing in Rhuallt this Spring. The course will run on Wednesday evenings from 25th April at Waen Parish Hall, Rhuallt. For further details contact 07445805876 or admin@furnace.wales. There will be leaflets explaining the aims and scope of the course by the display boards in St Michael’s.

 I will be taking over from Sylvia Harris the preparation of the weekly pew sheets. I will, of course be using information from this bulletin, and will be happy to include church notices which you send me in both the bulletin and the Pew Sheet. I will need information by Tuesday for the weekly bulletin and Pew Sheet.
Many thanks to Sylvia for preparing and producing the Pew Sheets so meticulously over so many years.

On Thursday 29th March the service of Holy Communion and Stripping of the Altar will take place at 7.30 pm.
On Good Friday, 30th March there will be a Good Friday Meditation at 2.00 pm in church.
On Sunday 1st April, Ven John Lomas will celebrate Festival Easter Eucharist and will preach at the 11.00 a.m. service. The readers will be Lindy and Janet, and the sidespersons will be Wendy and Roland.
On Wednesday, 4th April there will be our short afternoon service at 4.00 pm. The St Michael’s Church House Group will meet at 7.00 pm.

There willl be a concert at Capel Bethel on Saturday 31st March at 7.00 pm in aid of renovations at the Chapel. Tickets from ‘On the Corner’ or from Enys. £8.

Richard Coombs has been discharged from hospital after he became ill at the service on 25th March. Richard has sent his thanks for the good wishes and prayers of members of the congregation, and we look forward to welcoming him back soon.
Alice Ward has sent the following message:
‘A huge thank you to everyone who helped with Evensong on Sunday. There were many people involved with refreshments, furniture moving, stewardship etc, as well as those taking part in the service.Many people expressed their appreciation and our church now has a real reputation for its hospitality.’
Thanks to Alice for all she did to initiate and to prepare for the service.
I am sorry to have to report that David Bentley was injured in a fall at his home today, 27th March. It was a particularly cruel blow after his recent hip operation. David has been taken to hospital, and will need a lot of time for recuperation. Pauline will keep us in touch with his progress, and we hold both of them in our prayers and thoughts.
